The research committee (RC) consists of volunteers who have various backgrounds but all with an interest in psychopathy and supporting those impacted by psychopathy. In 2020, the RC focused on summarizing published research in the field of psychopathy. Our goal was to provide a brief overview of the diverse research being conducted across the world. We summarized the following studies in 2020.

• How effective is a parent-child interaction therapy with young children that have elevated callous/unemotional traits? See the findings on this groundbreaking research, a summary of the study by Kimonis et al. (2019).
• What types of adaptive and maladaptive behaviors do individuals with psychopathic engage in at work? See Psychopathic Traits in the Workplace,  a summary of the study by Neo et al. (2018)
• Why should psychopathy be considered a priority for public health agencies in order to reduce violence? See Why Psychopathy Matters, a summary of the article by Reidy et al. (2015)
• Why is psychopathy associated with violent attitudes towards women? See Why is psychopathy associated with violent attitudes towards women?, a summary of the findings of the study by Methot-Jones et al. (2019)
• What are the motivations for Tinder use by individuals with Dark Tetrad traits? See How Do Psychopathic Individuals Behave Online?, a summary of the recent study by Lyons et al. (2020)

In 2021 the RC plans to continue summarizing important research on psychopathy in words that non-researchers can understand. In addition, we plan to also focus on interviewing experts in the field of psychopathy. Our goal is to ask a range of experts about their research and to find out how they got involved in psychopathy research. These interviews will be located on the “Ask the Expert” area of the website.
