Hello, again!
I hope you all have come through the pandemic of 2020 in good health and spirits. It has been difficult for all of us, for sure, but we have not lessened our commitment to support the Foundation’s core Vision and Mission and continue to provide valid and reliable education about psychopathy to all who visit us.
Volunteers continued to work hard to fulfill the Foundation’s mission statement in 2020. Our mission statement has remained stable in the years since it was first written, and it is what we use to measure our success in achieving our ultimate goal of reducing the negative impact of psychopathy on society..
Aftermath Mission
The Aftermath: Surviving Psychopathy Foundation is dedicated to educating the public regarding the nature of psychopathy and its cost to individuals and society. We seek to support the families and victims of those with psychopathy. We support research that aims to: prevent or minimize the development of psychopathic traits, reduce the impact of psychopathic traits, and understand and treat the aftermath of psychopathy. Our ultimate goal is to reduce the negative impact of psychopathy on the families and victims of psychopathic individuals.
In 2020, we received $12,356.52 (see breakdown in Figure 1). Our revenue came primarily from the 2019-2020 Kickstarter Campaign (88%). Other sources of revenue included membership fees (7%), donations (5%), and contributions through third parties (e.g., Amazon Smile and the Paypal Giving Fund).
In 2020, our total expenses were $2,985.10 (see breakdown in Figure 2). The three largest expenditures were: insurance for our Board of Directors (BOD; 26%), membership merchandise (26%), and web-fees (e.g., MailChimp, Vimeo, HostGator, Soundcloud; 24%).
