We believe psychopathy is a serious disorder that hurts many people. Through our efforts, we hope to contribute to greater recognition of and greater understanding by both professionals and the general public of the nature and impact of psychopathy on victims/survivors. We envision a future in which psychopathy has less of a negative impact on the families, friends, co-workers, and victims of psychopathic individuals as well as individuals with psychopathic traits themselves because of the establishment of: • more effective methods to help victims and survivors recover from traumatic relationships with such individuals; • more effective methods to prevent or ameliorate the development of psychopathic traits; • more effective methods to treat psychopathic features. We are a non-profit organization, a working coalition of psychopathy researchers, mental health professionals, victims and family members of those affected with psychopathy.
