Hello, again!


2022 was another good year for the Aftermath: Surviving Psychopathy Foundation. You could say it was another year of providing accurate information about psychopathy, another year of helping people. But it was also a building year for us. As we suggested in the 2021 report, we had decided to try to launch a pilot support group for people who had survived traumatic relationships. In 2022, we took the steps to make that happen.

Mission and Accomplishments

Volunteers worked hard in 2022, giving their time and talents, to fulfill the Foundation’s Mission this year. Our mission statement guides our efforts to achieve our overall goal of reducing the negative impact of psychopathy on society and is used to measure our success.

Aftermath Mission
The Aftermath: Surviving Psychopathy Foundation is dedicated to educating the public regarding the nature of psychopathy and its cost to individuals and society. We seek to support the families and victims of those with psychopathy.  We support research that aims to: prevent or minimize the development of psychopathic traits, reduce the impact of psychopathic traits, and understand and treat the aftermath of psychopathy.  Our ultimate goal is to reduce the negative impact of psychopathy on the families and victims of psychopathic individuals.

Financial Report

In 2022, we received $2,961 (see breakdown in Figure 1). Our revenue came primarily from membership fees/donations ($2,927).

In 2022, our total fixed expenses were $2,084 (see breakdown in Figure 2). The three largest expenditures were: insurance for our Board of Directors (BOD; $684), fees for web applications we use (e.g., Mailchimp, HostGator, Sound Cloud; $838), and fees relating to our annual reports; $300). Variable expenses in 2022 came to $55.

Reasons to Support the Aftermath Foundation

The Aftermath: Surviving Psychopathy Foundation is one of the only organizations in the world that is dedicated to increasing our ability to understand people with psychopathic traits and to reducing the negative impact of psychopathic people on others. You may already know that we focus on what research has learned about psychopathy, and we take seriously the need to avoid hype, sensationalism, and unfounded statements. In addition, we are not just saying that there is a problem. We are doing something about it.
