There is still time to participate in a study of the impact of a romantic relationship with someone with psychopathic traits

Sara Lapsley, working with Dr. Adelle Forth at Carleton University, is conducting a study to improve our understanding of the experiences and impact of being in a romantic relationship with someone with perceived psychopathic traits.

There is room for more participants in this study. She is seeking participants 18 years or over who have had a relationship with someone who may have psychopathic traits. They will be asked to complete some questionnaires that measure anxiety, depression, and symptoms of post-traumatic stress. There are also questions that ask about your experiences of being harmed, including emotional, physical and financial harm and as well as about your personality features, your past history, your resilience, coping, and social supports. The study will take about 45 to 60 minutes to complete. Those who have experienced financial harm from their romantic relationship will also have the option of participating in an online interview that focuses on the effects of financial harm.
