2016 Aftermath Graduate Student Research Award
The Aftermath Foundation Graduate Student Research Award for 2016 has been awarded to Mary Ritchie and to Courtney Humeney. This award is given to honor those graduate students who conduct and publish research consistent with the Mission of the Foundation.
Mary Ritchie was given the award for a paper under review entitled: Easy Prey: The Relationship between Psychopathy, Past Victimizations, and Perceptions of Vulnerability to Violent and Sexual Victimization. Ms. Ritchie is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Western Ontario.
Courtney Humeny, for her poster presented at the 6th Biennial Meeting of the Society for the Scientific Study of Psychopathy entitled: But I love you: A qualitative investigation of victims’ altered realities during a romantic relationship with a psychopathic partner. Dr. Humeney received her Ph.D. from Carleton University in 2017.
