What is the go here?
Made the mistake of allowing the person I thought migh have psychopathic tendencies (with Bi-polar and alcohol) back into my home. Things went back to "normal" straight off the bat. I told him to leave. He did.
The day after he left the (older) man in the flat opposite said to me that all of his washing had been taken from the line. I lamented with him. What a low act, etc.
Next day I find 6 pair of men's underpants; six pair of men's sox; 2 pale blue (expensive) hankies, and a men's singlet in my washing basket! I know beyond doubt that my friend had retrieved that basket of washing. I freaked out.
What is happening here? Is this the bi-polar? Is this parrafillia with psychotic traits? What's the go on this crap? Is this creepy? Help.

Hi Poeticjustice,
I don't think it really matters what you call it, maybe time will tell but the important thing seems to me to be how it's affecting you and your life and from what you are saying it seems to be about how you need some distance from the friend who is driving you (and now neighbour) to distraction!

Thanks for the reply Mimosa and too true about needing distance. It has been a horrible time.
On the surface a basket of someone else's washing can be explained as error and forgotten, it is when these strange and implausible "errors" occur on a regular basis, and a pattern is seen to emerge that you cannot help but think that something is seriously wrong. There is. Perhaps it is bi-polar I'm looking at - I don't know, but you are right to say that I need distance. I am relieved that he is gone.
Today I am focussing on my own needs and getting some work done. I feel that I am regaining some semblance of self again, but am still interested in this disorder which has had me look closely at myself and my relationships with others. This is a good thing.
