I was wondering as a matter of interest whether psychopaths were ever gamblers? Could they think they are so masterful they can beat the odds? Or are they wily and canny enough to know about the mug punter, and the futility of gambling? Just Wondering about psychopathy and gambling. I do not suspect there is.

the ones i knew never gambled. some played cards for fun. but never for long unless they were winning.
one p i ran across owned a gamlbling parlor, got rich on other's losses and used privied information he got from his customers for any purpose which suited, blackmail, favors etc.. he himself was a master at cards but never gambled his own money. he did go broke eventually. i have heard that his son is now doing the same thing. where i live, these types of establishments are illegal. this young guy is the second child in wedlock, although there are 4 outside of this ps marriage, so this ties in with dr. leedom's comment that if the second child is a boy and the household is disorganized, that child will likely be a p.

Since my daughter has been back living with us, I've learned much more about my P son-in-law, as she is privy to much of the state's evidence against him. He defrauded the tax authorities of huge sums of money, and diverted over 15% of his ill-gotten gains to an account he set up at a gambling website! My guess it was mainly for the sheer thrill of it, but no doubt he also thought himself clever enough to beat the odds.

In my experience P gamble. He was most successful on tables against people. The smart P read people extremely well. They seem almost super natural.
