Do psychopaths pick on one person ?

My mum is vile to me in front of others , she even gets others to be vile to me . When we are alone she is nice to me . I think she picks on me to create a bond with someone else , like a tag team , to gain another's trust and show them she loves them and not me . She's done this with a few people . I'm the only person who she shows her real self to and who knows she's a diagnosed psychopath , my dad knew but he's dead now .
