Recognizing the consequences of legal prosecution

So,

I am legally going after my husband [P].
Is he going to be chill all the way thru, "knowing" he is in the right?
And that snap once he realizes getting out of prison isnt as easy as he assumed?
[I am probably highly ignorant for questioning his abilities when it comes to getting out of jail]

Or is he going to grasp reality at some point during this process and snap?

My gut tells me he is going to blow.
Never would I have ever taken it to that level of "being naughty" if it wasnt for my children needing protection from his abuse.

I guess. Idk.
